NOTE: The mixing instructions may seem arbitrary, but by stirring it 41 times, the ice cubes get smaller as they melt and cool the drink (you can feel the ice cubes get smaller because it gets easier to stir). The dillution caused by the water released from the ice cubes is a necessary part of the mix. Letting it sit for two minutes completes the dilution, and lets any infused air out. You don't want bubbles in a drink with whiskey. Counterclockwise is because I'm left-handed.

MANHATTAN


  • 3 Shots Bourbon
  • 1 Shot Sweet Vermouth
  • 2 Dashes Angostura or Old Fashioned Bitters
  • 1 or 2 Luxardo Cherries


Fill a shaker half full of ice. Pour in the booze and stir 41 times counterclockwise. Let it sit for 2 minutes, then strain into a cocktail glass.



CHOCOLATE MANHATTAN


  • 2 Shots Chocolate Bourbon
  • 1 Shot Bourbon
  • 1 Shot Sweet Vermouth
  • 1 Dash Angostura or Old Fashioned Bitters
  • 1 Dash Aztec Chocolate Bitters
  • 1 or 2 Luxardo Cherries

COLD BREW


  • 2-1/2 Shots Bourbon
  • 3/4 Shot Sweet Vermouth

  • 1 Dash Angostura or Old Fashioned Bitters
  • 1 Dash Aztec Chocolate Bitters
  • 1 or 2 Luxardo Cherries
